Alan Larson is a safety management consultant with over 30 years of professional experience in construction industry safety and risk management. He has worked on projects worldwide and has advised public and private companies as well as government agencies. Clients consist of private construction companies, brokerage and insurance firms, and utility companies. Based in Northern California, Alan's company consists of three employed staff supplemented by serveral other safety, occupational health and ergonomic associates. The company serves clients regionally, nationally and internationally. Alan is a Certified Safety Professional and has a Masters Degree in Finance with a focus on Safety Management. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Golden Gate Chapter of the National Safety Management Society. |

Myron has worked in the health and safety field for over 15 years. He has broad safety and regulatory compliance knowledge and is an excellent communicator. As an instructor, his teaching methods are extremely effective and he engages the participants in such a way that they remember the principles of the training. Also, Myron can develop and maintain successful company safety programs by providing assessments of workplace hazards, written programs, and facilitating safety meetings so that they are action oriented. He has an ability to recognize workplace hazards that tend to blend-in to the untrained eye. He also takes the time to recognize the good work practices in order to reinforce the strengths of the company's safety program. Susan Tingley, MS, PT, CAE is a physical therapist and Certified Associate Ergonomist with 20 years of experience in ergonomics, injury prevention, and industrial rehabilitation. She established Ergonomics & Injury Prevention Services in 1996. Ms. Tingley has developed in-house training classes and materials for business and industry. She has provided effective ergonomics consulting in both office and industrial settings. Ms. Tingley was a keynote speaker and workshop instructor for the Singapore Physiotherapy Association’s National Congress in August 2006. She is a past Board Member of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Ergonomics Round Table and is the past president of the Bay Area Ergonomics Study Group. Dave Smith is a safety professional with over 20 years of consulting experience in construction, manufacturing, health care and service industries. The goal of his practice is to prevent injuries and illnesses and to control the costs of loss. Previous employers have included Heath Cal, CareAmerica and Zenith Insurance. Dave is a published author in Professional Safety, NSMS Insights, AGC California Constructor and Concrete Construction. He has been invited to speak before groups from the World of Concrete to the National Safety Management Society. Dave is a Certified Safety Professional (Board Certified), an Associate in Risk Management and a Registered Environmental Assessor (Cal EPA). A Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), he was elected a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. He served as the ASSE Bay Area Construction Section Chair from 2003-2005, and National Safety Management Society 1991 Golden Gate Chapter President. Dave is a member of the Bay Area Environmental Safety Group and the Bay Area Ergonomics Roundtable. Mr. Walter has represented employers in California and other states in OSHA compliance matters and "serious & willful misconduct" claims since 1985. He is admitted to practice in all California courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds an AV rating by Martindale-Hubble, the highest rating for competence and ethical practice. Fred works with employers, general counsel, safety directors, risk managers and human resources administrators defending OSHA citations and developing effective safety programs which answer regulatory mandates. He leads the firm's crisis management practice, providing clients with legal advice and representation during and after critical events. His article “Crisis Management: The Legal Perspective", was published in the March 2003 edition of Safety Professional. Fred is often invited to talk on topics related to workplace safety for the firm's clients, public agencies and professional organizations. A short list of these groups includes ALPHA Fund, Redwood Empire MIF, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California, Associated California Loggers and “The Safety Center" in Sacramento, California. He has been a guest lecturer on the legal aspects of safety and health at San Jose State University. Ms. Prince began her practice in 1998 representing clients in civil litigation. That experience has made her a strong advocate for our clients. As a partner at Walter & Prince, Lisa represents employers in defense of OSHA citations and “serious and willful misconduct" claims. She works with employers, safety directors, risk managers, and human resources administrators to develop effective preventive safety programs that answer regulatory mandates. She is effective in creating working partnerships with our clients to identify and achieve realistic litigation goals. Lisa is a dynamic and informative speaker on a wide range of topics related to workplace safety, weathering Cal/OSHA investigations and the Cal/OSHA appeals process. She has delivered presentations to organizations as various as State Compensation Insurance Fund, the American Society of Safety Engineers, HR Connections, AgSafe, the Sonoma County Employer Advisory Council, the National Safety Management Society and Associated General Contractors (AGC) San Diego. Richard Paegelow is the president and general manager of Inline Translation services, Inc. Richard also serves as the company's editor of Romance languages. Foudned in 1983 and based in Glendale, CA, Inline provides written translation services for a wide range of companies an non-profits nationally. Inline's six full time translation project manager manage ofer 500 tranlators, editiors and proofreaders. The company is a member of the California Manufacturer's & Technology Association, the divisions, and the Institute of Electrical Engineers. Over half of the translation assignments involve English to Spanish assignments, many involving health and safety topics. Richard received his B. A. from the University of Kansas with majors in Spanish and Latin American Area Studies. Later, he reeived a Fulbright Scholarship for graduate studies in Quito Ecuador. He then received an M.A. Degree in Political Science fro the University of Kansas, followed by an MBA Degree from columbia University in New York City, wiht majors in accounting and finance. Prior to purchasing the predecessor company to Inline Translation Services, Richard worked for fifteen years on banking, management training, business consulting, and served as Vice President at First interstate Bank of California. He si currently an active voting member of the American Translators Association and is a frequent speaker at national and regional translation conferences. |
